De La Soul is working on a mixtape that will feature beats from DJ Premier and Pete Rock.
There is no release date for when the De La Soul, DJ Premier & Pete Rock mixtape will drop but they will be working on the project during the month of September.
“Right now we’re just accumulating beats. The guys have been sending us beats. No real idea of what the theme is gonna be, the theme behind the title, what that’s gonna be, if it’s gonna be skits, if it’s gonna be songs, remakes, whatever it is. Right now we’ve just been accumulating beats and waiting for Premier to handle some stuff as well. So it’s still in its early stages, but we actually plan on recording through the month of September for it, so we’re getting on it.” De La Soul’s Dave said speaking to XXL.
March 3rd was the 25-year anniversary of 3 Feat High and Rising. 3 Feat High and Rising was De La Souls first album and received a lot of critical and commercial success during its release in 1989.
Earlier this year, De La Soul released their Mixtape ‘Smell the D.A.I.S.Y.’ made with J.Dilla beats. Stream it below!
