The Game, Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, Diddy, Fabolous, Wale, DJ Khaled, TGT, Yo Gotti, Curren$y, King Pharoah and Swizz Beatz have come together to rap about the injustice that occured in Ferguson, MO to unarmed black teen Mike Brown in a collabortaive track entitled “Don’t Shoot,” referring to Brown having his hands up, saying, “Don’t shoot” while being gunned down by a police officer. DJ Khaled starts the track off with a motivational speech and ends it with “R.I.P Mike Brown, God help us all.”
The song covers all the reasons why so many blacks in America are so upset over this never ending occurance of unarmed black men and women being killed just for being black basically. It’s nice to see hip-hop back at it’s roots discussing politics and highlighting the injustices of society when it comes to being black in America, encouraging us to stick together because we are really all we got.
Chess not checkers people. Chess. Check out the emotional track below.
