Top 5 Motivational Tupac Interviews

In honor and celebration of the legendary Tupac Amaru Shakur, I have compiled a list of my personal favorite interviews that are sure to inspire. The one thing I love most about this man is that his words are relevant still today and is one of the motivating factors behind Vault of 1520. Listen to each interview carefully as Tupac drops major gems about life, music, religion and politics.

1. Lost Tupac VIBE Interview:

Vibe Magazine unreleased interview of Tupac Shakur from May 1996. He would be killed on the Las Vegas strip six months later.

2. 1995 Tupac Deposition:

In 1995 Tupac was sued by the estate of a slain Texas State Trooper because the troopers family claimed that Tupac’s music incited police shootings.

3. 17 year old Tupac

Wise beyond his years.

4. Lost Tupac MTV Christmas Interview

During a recording session, Tupac sat down with MTV for his first interview as a solo artist. This was an interview that never aired because he got into legal trouble.

5. Recorded Conversation with Monster Kody

“This was me and Tupac’s first conversation. This was October 18th 1995. i had just gotten out of Pelican a month before, and Pac had been out a couple of days. We did not know We were being recorded. My wife pressed record on the answering machine and unbeknown to either of us, caught some bomb ass history. Ya’ll enjoy this, and check out Pac and how positive he was. This is Classic shit. It’s Shakur thang.” – Monster Kody Sanyika Shakur [via]

Honorable Mention: Thug Life Speech

Tupac defining Thug Life.

I hope this list serves to inspire everyone who comes across it. There are so many great Tupac interviews I had to stop and pick the ones that resonated with me the most. What are some of your favorite Tupac interviews? Share them in the comments!
