FADER recently premiered YG’s trailer for his upcoming short film and soundtrack, Blame It On the Streets, which co-stars Rick Gonzalez (Coach Carter, Roll Bounce). Blame It On the Streets was filmed in the heart of South Central LA and the 30-minute flick will be screening tonight in New York.
“The short film is basically the life behind a couple of records off ‘My Krazy Life.’ When you listen to that album it feels like you are watching a movie, so I wrote this film to give people a chance to see what my ‘krazy’ life is all about.” – YG
Check out the trailer for YG’s film Blame It On the Streets after the jump. The short film and soundtrack officially debuts December 15th and includes 9 new songs featuring of course his Pushaz Ink fam, DJ Mustard and the legendary DJ Quick. The film reminds me of 2014 Boyz n the Hood, hopefully it brings something different to the table.
