Master P is back and instead of just being No Limit he’s Money Mafia. “Power” is the latest joint from the record label featuring Lil Wayne and Money Mafia members Gangsta and Ace B.
Master P allegedly stole the Money Mafia monkier, brand and logo from a group out of New York with the same name, headed by a man named Frankie Prada who made this statement on the situation:
“Master P knew exactly who we were and didn’t care because they had financial backing figuring that they will be able to make us irrelevant but little did he know the team was copy written and cosigned by other groups, such as Coke Boys, Universal and IMF Recordings.”
Master P allegedly owes them money as well. It will be interesting to see how that pans out. Perhaps it was a paperwork issue, as it doesn’t look like they will be taking Master P to court over this. Looks like Master P used his power to get around using these guys brand, pun intended. You can watch the guys explain their side here.
In the meantime take a listen to “Power” below, which sounds like pretty much everything on the radio today. So if the goal was to blend in with a bootleg Future, Master P did a great job.
