Dipset and DJ Funkmaster Flex are going in this year and it’s only the top of the year. In an apparent beef with rap mogul Jay Z, Dipset takes their issues in the purest hip hop way possible, on wax. Why the beef? Jay Z is allegedly blocking Dipset from booking venues for their, what’s supposed to be a 20-city reunion tour, using his LiveNation muscle and Flex is pissed.
Flex went on a 2-day rant, calling his Life + Times blog trash and even accused Jay Z of stealing his app idea when he released his Magna Carter Holy Grail album, although the app was constructed and maintained by Samsung. Highly doubt Samsung is fishing for app ideas from Funkmaster Flex however. Flex then accuses Jay of blowing his phone up private and of sending him a text that says “This is HOV.” He took a picture of the phone screen with the text message; I guess tech savvy Flex doesn’t know how to screenshot on his iPhone.
A little birdie says the true beef isn’t about Dipset though. It’s more about Jay Z signing Angie Martinez and DJ Camillo onto his Roc Nation management and Flex obviously feels some type of way about it since he’s been Jay‘s biggest supporter since forever and even took Jay‘s side when him and Dame Dash were beefing. But you didn’t hear that from me.
Listen to Dipset‘s “Victory” after the jump.
