A few days ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Texas rapper Shoose Mcgee in Dallas where his team handed me this stimulating tape, The Great Depression.
The Great Depression includes production from MouseQuake, Omito, Fresco Stevens and Shoose Mcgee himself. Mcgee showed his creative side by sampling from many artist like Tyrese, Aaliyah and even a little Teddy Pendergrass (play track number 10, you will thank me later.)
Shoose’s deliverance on this conceptual album is quite phenomenal as he tells a life story throughout. His lyricism, poetic flow and articulation effortlessly makes him an artist to keep your eyes on as he continues on the rise to prominence. You can download The Great Depression on Datpiff or you can show some love by purchasing the album on BandCamp.
