Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve heard about Jay-Z’s new venture, a music streaming service called Tidal. He enlisted the help of several MAJOR artists including Kanye West, Beyonce, and Rihanna, to invest in the company that claimed it would change the music industry forever.
Tidal’s marketing campaign bragged about it’s lossless sound quality. As awesome as Tidal sounds, it has had a rough start due to it’s expensive price tag. Much like Spotify, there is a plan that will cost you $10 a month, but if you’re looking for that lossless sound (and tons of other perks), you’ll be shelling out $20! Not only have sales been slow, there has been a lot of industry criticism towards the brand.
Today Hov took to twitter to drop some #TidalFacts to defend his company – peep the tweets below. Tidal may not be the wave yet, but it looks like it’s about to make some! Stay tuned.
