With a preternatural ear for hooks and infectious melody, Bay Area 15-year-old Suigeneris bursts with hit-making potential. Demonstrating the songwriting ability and precocious swag that endeared him to artists like Lil Skies and Landon Cube, Suigeneris levels up with Suinami, his second project. Kicking off with the outrageously confident “Frank Muller,” and its opening line “15, making six figures, are you ballin like this?”, Suinami is the ideal canvas for the young spitter to paint on, with instrumentals ranging from the hyperactive, piano-led beats of his home region to lurching trap to candy-coated SoundCloud-style backing tracks.
The follow-up to The Cheat Code, Suie’s 2018 debut project, Suinami hosts the recent single “Lucifer,” which has over 1 million combined streams.
Featuring appearances from NLE Choppa,DaBoii, Lildaddex, TJ Porter, and Jasper, Suinami arrives via EMPIRE.
Introduced to his hip-hop by his brothers, who are pursuing musical careers of their own, Suigeneris experienced his first taste of success at the young age of 13, when his video “Pull Up” caught fire in the Bay Area to the tune of 1.6 million YouTube views. Since then, Suie’s career trended ever upward. “Pull Up” caught the ear of Landon Cube, who brought Suie on as an opening act for his tour. Through Cube, Suie met Lil Skies, who appreciated Suie’s melodic mastery enough to collaborate with him on “Now” (6 million Spotify streams, 3.3 million YT views). In the summer of 2018, Suigeneris appeared on Complex’s Good Looking Out series, earning a fan in YG.
Last week, Suie shared the video for “Purple Drip,” an energetic loose single, which already has more than 118k YouTube views. With over 343k followers on Instagram and Suinami ready to make a splash, Suie looks to kickstart his young career and become a household name.
