Providing new viewers with a taste of Season 2’s central conflicts and high-quality performance scenes, Step Up: High Water presents the official music video for “Take The Throne.” Produced by Timbaland and rapped by Terrence Green, in character as High Water lead role Rigo, “Take The Throne” is a slice of triumphant trap–the sound of Rigo declaring that he will reach the top by any means necessary. “Take The Throne” illustrates Rigo’s life-changing decision to take over his father’s criminal enterprise–splitting time between dealing and recording his debut rap album. The video is a shot of pure adrenaline, combining dramatic scenes from the series and mind-blowing original dance scenes, culminating with Rigo’s realization that his choice to embrace street life is driving away the people he cares about most.

Based on the successful film franchise from Lionsgate, which has grossed $650 million at the global box office, Step Up: High Water follows several students at a cutthroat performing arts school in Atlanta. Series regulars Ne-YoNaya Rivera, and Faizon Love return for a second season, joining newcomers Ashley GreeneRobin Givens and Jeremy Copeland.

In the second season, multi-platinum recording artist and entrepreneur Rick Ross guest stars as himself, as does Todrick Hall and choreographer JaQuel Knight.
