Lil Herb enlists fellow Chicagoans Common and Chance the Rapper for the remix of his “Fight or Flight” track off of his Welcome to Fazoland EP. The track discuss social issues in light of the Mike Brow & Ferguson, MO situation and even in Chicago where another teen was shot by police, Roshod McIntosh (McIntosh was said to have pointed a gun at the police officers, witnesses say otherwise). It’s so great to see hip-hop do what it was originally created to do. Create an awareness of social issues in the community so they can be properly addressed. Let’s hope this is the direction new hip-hop artists continue to go in.
